Stallion Quarantine Services
Boarding stallions for quarantine requires a secure, well-managed facility that prioritizes safety and compliance. Located in Wellington, Florida, our quarantine program provides the ideal environment to prepare stallions for competitions at Wellington International, the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) Showgrounds, the International Polo Club Palm Beach (IPC), and the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center. With expert care and a premier setting, we ensure stallions transition smoothly and are ready to perform at the highest level.
Stallions will be quarantined for approximately 35 to 45 days, a longer period than mares due to the more extensive testing required for Contagious Equine Metritis (CEM).
Because stallions can carry and transmit CEM without showing symptoms, they must undergo additional cultures and test breeding procedures to ensure they are not a source of infection.
During this time, the USDA and Palm Beach Equine Clinic will perform all necessary testing and protocols to confirm the stallion meets the entry requirements for the United States.
Initial examination and the required Florida state fee of $1,250 (an additional $100 service fee applies if paid through Richard M. Faver Inc.) officially initiate the CEM quarantine protocol.
Standard Board Includes:
- Choice of grain
- Hay fed four times daily
- Night check
- All state-mandated
CEM testing and procedures - Veterinary procedures and cultures using two test mares
- Coggins test
